Dried kisses
remain upon his lips.

Ravenous memories
devour his waking hours.

Radiant visions persist,
dictating his demeanor.

Melodic words linger upon his ears,
igniting his imagination.

Luxurious scents
linger upon his pillow.

Elegant footprints
adorn his garden path.

Moon rising over the Atlantic
…he awaits the anticipated return.

Through it all he remains
.… lost in the afterglow.
