Have drivers forgotten the purpose of the lever to the left of their steering wheel? Maybe they don’t think it’s anyone’s business what direction they’re going to go next? Maybe they’re too busy on the phone or texting to push the little lever? Maybe they’re distracted by children in the back seat? Maybe they’re rehashing in their mind the argument they had with their sweetheart just before leaving the house?
Whatever their reasoning, it’s just not good enough. I really and truly want to know when the car in front of me slows to a near stop that he is merely getting ready to make a turn and has not passed out behind the wheel requiring a call to 911.

Or stopping in the middle of the road to turn, when there’s a turn lane for that purpose
