Admit it – you do the same thing. Maybe not with forks, maybe it’s something else – plates, cups or drinking glasses but I know – admit it – you wait until that item is gone. In my case, as long as there is 1 fork still in the silverware drawer, the dishwasher could be full to the brim with dishes tumbling off the racks, and it’s not time to turn it on yet.
On the other hand, if suddenly there are no more clean forks, the dishwasher could have 1 or 2 items in it and it doesn’t matter – it’s time to run it – we’re out of forks. Heaven forbid if I pick up a fork and rinse it off and use it – Nope, gotta turn that dishwasher on.
For years and years, I didn’t have a dishwasher but now I do and I’M GOING TO USE IT – when we run out of forks.
